Open source and self-hostable
Airbyte can run entirely on your own infrastructure, so your data never leaves your environment and you're not tied to per-row vendor billing. If open source and full self-hosted control are hard requirements, Airbyte is purpose-built for exactly that.

Airbyte has one of the largest connector catalogs anywhere, plus a Connector Development Kit for building or modifying connectors. For long-tail or niche sources you want to own and customize, that flexibility is hard to match.
