Can Synopsis show what a matter actually cost to serve, rework included?
Yes. Processing volumes, hosted gigabytes, reviewer and project management hours, rush surcharges, and contractor cost land in the same warehouse as your invoice lines, keyed to the matter number, so cost to serve reads matter by matter and the rework hours nobody billed show up as their own line. It reads the same way on flat-fee and per-matter work, where the question becomes what the fee covered. Synopsis brings the records together for analysis; it doesn't replace your systems of record.
Our matters are privileged. Does Synopsis need document content to do this?
No. Margin questions run on operational metadata: gigabytes, document counts, hours, dates, rates, and dollars. The warehouse runs in your own environment, and review work product and document contents can stay out of scope entirely.
Some matters run on the client firm's own Relativity instance. Can we still see margin on those?
Yes, as long as you can get a usage export from that instance. It lands on the same matter number as everything else, and your hours, cost and invoices join it the usual way. Where the client firm will not share usage, the matter still carries its hours, cost and revenue, and only the hosted volume is missing.
Does Synopsis integrate Relativity with NetSuite?
Yes. RelativityOne hosting and review activity and NetSuite billing land in one warehouse keyed to the same matter, so cost to serve against realised revenue is one query. The same holds for Relativity Server, Everlaw, Reveal, DISCO, Nuix, QuickBooks, and the rest of a provider's systems.
