For Independent RIAs, Hybrid Firms & Fee-Only Practices

Plan the year of client visits from households, AUM, and advisor capacity

Your households live in the CRM, their AUM and dates of birth at the custodian, their plans in the planning tool, and the visit plan in a partner's head.

A data warehouse built specifically for independent RIAs, hybrid firms, and fee-only practices. Connect the CRM, the portfolio system, the custodian, and the planning tool. Live in about 48 hours.

Synopsis is a data warehouse for independent RIAs and fee-only advisory practices planning advisor coverage, live on your own systems in about 48 hours. Redtail household records, Orion portfolio data, Schwab Advisor Center custodial positions, eMoney plans, advisor calendars, and the QuickBooks ledger land in one warehouse keyed to the same household. A question like which households have not had a review in twelve months, and which cities to visit first, becomes a single query. Updated August 2026.

Popular pairings

The pairings that turn coverage planning into a query.

Households, AUM, geography, and advisor capacity live in four systems. Joined, the year's travel and staffing plan comes off the data instead of out of memory.

Redtail + Orion

Synopsis integrates Redtail household records with Orion portfolio values, so segmentation runs on real AUM rather than on a stale tier.

Schwab Advisor Center + Orion

Synopsis connects Schwab Advisor Center custodial positions to Orion, so household AUM is current across every custodian you use.

eMoney + Redtail

Synopsis joins eMoney planning engagement to the Redtail household record, so a client with an active plan and no recent review is visible.

Redtail + Advisor calendars

Synopsis syncs Redtail last-review dates to advisor calendars, so the travel schedule is built from real capacity rather than intent.

Orion + QuickBooks

Synopsis integrates Orion fee revenue with the QuickBooks ledger, so revenue per household informs where coverage should go.

Wealthbox + Orion

Synopsis joins a firm on Wealthbox to the same Orion coverage view, so the analysis does not depend on which CRM you run.

Questions

Answers before you ask.

Can it plan our annual client-visit schedule?

Yes. Households, AUM, city and state, dates of birth from the custodial records, and each advisor's book land in one warehouse, so the annual visit schedule reads as a routed plan by metro and quarter, and the same data guides advisor staffing and where the next client comes from. Synopsis brings the records together for analysis; it doesn't replace your systems of record.

We custody with both Schwab and Fidelity. Can it read across them?

Yes. Both custodial feeds land in the same warehouse keyed to the household, so a relationship split across custodians reads as one book: AUM, accounts, coverage, and reviews in one place, refreshed from each custodian's daily file.

We merged and now run two CRMs. Can Synopsis read both?

Yes. Both land in the same warehouse keyed to the household, so a client who sits in Redtail and again in Wealthbox reads as one relationship with one AUM figure and one review date. Duplicate households come back as a list you can clean at your own pace. Neither side has to migrate first, and you can keep both systems running until you decide to consolidate.

Does Synopsis integrate Redtail with Orion?

Yes. Redtail household records and Orion portfolio values land in one warehouse keyed to the same household, so segmentation by AUM, geography, and last review is one query. The same holds for Wealthbox, Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, Schwab Advisor Center, Fidelity Wealthscape, eMoney, and the rest of an advisory firm's systems.

We run a system that isn't listed here. Can you connect it?

Usually, yes. The AI builds the connector from an export or an API, and a new system is typically flowing in days. If it can produce a file, it is a candidate.

How long until we can start asking questions?

Your first connected systems are answering questions in about 48 hours, and a full rollout lands in days, not a multi-quarter data project.

Do we need a data team or anyone who knows SQL?

No. We configure your warehouse with you and connect the systems you already run; your team just asks questions in plain English. Nobody has to write SQL or babysit pipelines unless they want to.

Does Synopsis replace the software we already use?

No. Your systems of record — ERP, CRM, accounting, and the rest — stay exactly where they are. Synopsis sits on top and joins them into one place you can query, so you report across everything instead of exporting from each tool.

Where does our data live, and is it secure?

Your data stays in your own warehouse — we don't keep a copy. Access is governed per user and every query is audit-logged. Synopsis is SOC 2 Type II, and you can review our live security posture in the Trust Center.

How is this different from a BI tool or a stack of dashboards?

BI tools chart data that something else already had to clean and join. Synopsis does that upstream work — connecting your systems, resolving entities, and enforcing your metric definitions — then answers in plain English, builds the dashboards, and traces every number back to its source.
