For WISPs, Fiber Co-ops & BEAD Grantees

One reconciled subscriber base for the board, the lender, and the grant auditor

Your board deck, your lender covenant report, and your BEAD filing each need a different subscriber definition, and each gets rebuilt by hand today.

A data warehouse built specifically for WISPs, fiber co-ops, and BEAD grantees that need one subscriber number. Connect billing, the ACS, dispatch, and the GIS. Live in about 48 hours.

Synopsis is a data warehouse for rural broadband operators, including WISPs, fiber co-ops, and BEAD grantees, live on your own systems in about 48 hours. Sonar billing accounts, Calix Service Cloud device inventory, Agentforce Field Service work orders, VETRO FiberMap passings, QuickBooks revenue, and USAC and state portal filings land in one warehouse keyed to the same subscriber and location. A question like which subscriber number the board, the lender, and the grant auditor should each be given becomes a single query. Updated August 2026.

Popular pairings

The pairings that reconcile a subscriber base.

Billing counts accounts, the ACS counts lit devices, and the GIS counts passings. Reconciled on one location key, they stop being three answers.

Sonar + Calix Cloud

Synopsis integrates Sonar billing accounts with Calix Cloud device inventory, so an address that is lit but never billed shows up the week it happens.

Sonar + VETRO FiberMap

Synopsis connects Sonar billing service addresses to VETRO FiberMap serviceable passings, so take rate reads by route rather than by guess.

Calix Cloud + Agentforce Field Service

Synopsis joins Calix Cloud provisioned ONTs to the Agentforce Field Service work order that placed them, so a device with no account has a ticket to chase.

Sonar + QuickBooks

Synopsis syncs Sonar subscriber revenue to QuickBooks by service and plan, so the lender's covenant report and the board deck use the same base.

VETRO FiberMap + USAC HUBB

Synopsis integrates the VETRO FiberMap fiber map with USAC HUBB High Cost filings, so what was reported and what was built agree location by location.

Powercode + Calix Cloud

Synopsis joins an operator on Powercode to the same Calix Cloud device inventory view, so the reconciliation works whichever billing platform you run.

Questions

Answers before you ask.

Which subscriber number should the lender covenant report use?

The one your credit agreement defines, drawn off a reconciled base. The three readers legitimately need three definitions: the board reports revenue-generating units, the lender counts subscribers under the covenant definition in the credit agreement, and the grant auditor counts locations deployed and served at funded locations. Billing counts active accounts, the ACS counts ONTs online, and the subsidy filing counts funded locations. Synopsis lands all three sources in one warehouse keyed to the same address and itemizes every difference: lit-but-unbilled drops, disconnects still lit, dark-but-billed accounts, and duplicates. Each definition then reads off the same base, and you can show how one becomes another. Synopsis brings the records together for analysis; it doesn't replace your systems of record.

Can the grant auditor trace each claimed subscriber back to a source record?

Yes. Every subscriber in the bridge traces back to a billing account, an ONT serial, and an install work order at a funded location, so audit fieldwork starts from evidence instead of a spreadsheet hunt. Grant filings count locations deployed and served, so the location list and the subscriber list stay separate and each traces to its own evidence. Your grants manager still reviews and files; Synopsis assembles the evidence behind each number.

How often does the reconciled count refresh?

Nightly. Billing, the ACS, GIS, and the GL reload each night, and every exception list rebuilds with them: lit-but-unbilled drops, disconnects still lit, dark-but-billed accounts, and duplicates. A question asked in the middle of a quarter gets the same reconciled base the quarter-end report will use.

Does Synopsis integrate Sonar with Calix Cloud?

Yes. Sonar billing accounts and Calix Cloud device inventory land in one warehouse keyed to the same subscriber and service address, so lit-but-not-billed reads as one query. The same holds for Powercode, Splynx, Visp, Azotel, NISC iVUE, Adtran Mosaic, and the rest of an operator's systems.

We run a system that isn't listed here. Can you connect it?

Usually, yes. The AI builds the connector from an export or an API, and a new system is typically flowing in days. If it can produce a file, it is a candidate.

How long until we can start asking questions?

Your first connected systems are answering questions in about 48 hours, and a full rollout lands in days, not a multi-quarter data project.

Do we need a data team or anyone who knows SQL?

No. We configure your warehouse with you and connect the systems you already run; your team just asks questions in plain English. Nobody has to write SQL or babysit pipelines unless they want to.

Does Synopsis replace the software we already use?

No. Your systems of record — ERP, CRM, accounting, and the rest — stay exactly where they are. Synopsis sits on top and joins them into one place you can query, so you report across everything instead of exporting from each tool.

Where does our data live, and is it secure?

Your data stays in your own warehouse — we don't keep a copy. Access is governed per user and every query is audit-logged. Synopsis is SOC 2 Type II, and you can review our live security posture in the Trust Center.

How is this different from a BI tool or a stack of dashboards?

BI tools chart data that something else already had to clean and join. Synopsis does that upstream work — connecting your systems, resolving entities, and enforcing your metric definitions — then answers in plain English, builds the dashboards, and traces every number back to its source.
